Your quiz average is the arithmetic mean of all your quiz percentage scores. Add all scores together and divide by the number of quizzes. This calculator does it instantly and also shows you your highest and lowest quiz scores so you can see where you stand.
Quiz Average = Sum of All Quiz Scores ÷ Number of Quizzes
All scores should be entered as percentages (0–100). For example, 17/20 = 85%.

Yes — always convert raw scores to percentages before averaging. If you average raw scores from quizzes with different total points, you will get a misleading result.
Wrong vs. Right Method
Quiz A: 18/20 (90%)✅ Use 90%
Quiz B: 45/50 (90%)✅ Use 90%
Wrong: (18+45) ÷ (20+50)= 90% (coincidence here)
If Quiz B was 40/50 (80%) — Wrong avg(18+40) ÷ (20+50) = 82.8% ❌
Correct avg of 90% and 80%= 85% ✅
Common Mistakes
- Mixing raw scores from different total points. Always convert to percentages before averaging — entering 18 out of 20 and 45 out of 50 as raw numbers gives a wrong result.
- Forgetting to include all quizzes. A missed or zero quiz counts as 0% and must be included in the average, even if you were absent that day.
