This policy explains what information GradePilot (gradepilothq.com) handles when you use the site.
Calculator data: All calculations happen in your browser. The scores, credits and other values you enter are not sent to our servers and we do not require an account.
Local storage: We use your browser's localStorage to remember your theme preference (dark/light mode) and your last calculator inputs for convenience. This data stays on your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Cookies: GradePilot itself does not set tracking cookies. Third-party services we use or may use in the future, such as advertising or analytics providers, may set their own cookies as described below.
Advertising: We may display ads through Google AdSense or similar advertising services. Where such ads are shown, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads, including personalized ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland may be asked for consent where required by law. This section describes how advertising works if and when it is enabled; it does not mean ads are active on every page at all times.
Analytics: We may use analytics tools in the future to understand aggregate traffic patterns. If we do, we will aim to collect only aggregated usage information such as pages visited, device type and approximate location, and not information that directly identifies you.
Server logs: Our hosting provider (Netlify) may automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser type and requested pages for security and operation of the service.
Children: GradePilot is intended for general student use and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes: We may update this policy from time to time; the date above shows the latest revision.
